Who we work with
Our clients are typically small and mid-sized organizations in the 10 to 250 employee range that have outgrown ad hoc IT support but do not need, or cannot justify, a full internal department. Some have never had a dedicated IT partner. Others are leaving a provider that stopped being responsive, or replacing an internal generalist who has moved on.
We work across healthcare, finance, legal, professional services, nonprofit, manufacturing, automotive dealership, and education organizations. Several of those sectors carry real regulatory weight, including HIPAA in healthcare, PCI DSS wherever cards are processed, and the FTC Safeguards Rule for dealerships and other businesses that arrange consumer financing. We plan around those obligations from the beginning rather than treating them as a separate project later.
How we work
Most IT problems we are called in to fix are not exotic. They are the result of environments that grew without documentation, without an owner, and without anyone regularly asking whether the current setup still fits the business. Our engagement model is built to close those gaps in a specific order.
- We start by understanding what you actually have. Every engagement begins with a review of your environment: endpoints, servers, identity, network, backups, licensing, and the vendors holding your data. You get a clear picture of your current state, including the things nobody has told you about.
- We fix the fundamentals before anything else. Multifactor authentication, patching, endpoint protection, tested backups, and access control account for the majority of preventable incidents. These come first, ahead of any larger modernization work.
- We document as we go. Your environment, credentials, and procedures are recorded and kept current. Documentation is how support stays fast when the person who set something up is unavailable, and it is what makes leaving a provider possible without losing institutional knowledge.
- We plan on a regular cadence. Beyond daily support, we review what changed, what is aging out, what your renewals look like, and what the next twelve months require. That is the difference between an IT vendor and an IT partner.
Security is not a separate service line
Every environment we manage is built on the assumption that it will be targeted, because at this point every environment is. Phishing, credential theft, ransomware, and business email compromise do not skip small organizations. They favor them, because the controls are usually thinner and the response is usually slower.
That shapes ordinary decisions. Identity is treated as the perimeter. Administrator access is separated from daily-use accounts. Backups are designed so that a compromised administrator cannot delete them. Logging exists before you need it, not after. None of this is exotic or expensive, but it has to be deliberate, and it has to be maintained. You can read more about our approach on our cybersecurity and compliance pages.
Local presence, current practice
We serve businesses throughout Northern California, including Sacramento, Rocklin, Roseville, and Granite Bay, Folsom and Elk Grove, Placer and El Dorado counties, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Most work is handled remotely, which is faster for the majority of issues, and we come on site when the problem is physical or the project calls for it.
Being regional matters for the things that are hard to do at a distance: office moves, cabling and network builds, hardware refreshes, and knowing the local vendors and carriers well enough to escalate effectively. It also means you are talking to people who know your business rather than a rotating queue.
What you can expect
Straight answers about what a problem is, what it will take to fix, and what it will cost. Recommendations we would make if the money were ours. A clear distinction between what is urgent, what is important, and what is a nice-to-have. And no obligation to buy technology you do not need in order to keep the support you do.
If your current setup is working, we will tell you that too. The goal is an environment that stays out of your way, so your team can spend its time on the business instead of on the technology behind it.
Whether your business needs fast issue resolution, strategic planning, or help maturing your security program, we provide a thoughtful and dependable experience. Get in touch and we will start with a look at where things stand today.
